Devotee Conduct Guidelines
-
Please leave your footwear at the chappal stand.
-
No photography or videography in the Devasthana
-
Keep mobile devices silent in the Devasthana
-
Engage in respectful conduct. Greet all with Namaskāra/Namaste and address fellow devotees, elders, and temple staff as Anna, Akka, Amma, Ayya, or Ji

The reason to keep our phones on silent and avoid photography in the temple is to stay present during darshana. With phones quiet and cameras off, we notice the fragrance of flowers, the sound of shlokas, the light of the deepa, and the peaceful silence around us, so we can chant Devi nāma and pray to Her. Photography pulls the mind outward toward angles, posts, and reactions instead of inward toward devotion. Elders say some experiences are meant to be received through the heart, not through a lens.
